Organist, Choral Conductor,
Church Musician

Organist
An active recitalist and church organist, Michael works toward inspiring playing that uplifts the heart and gives a moment of reflection to the mind. In his recitals, he believes strongly in crafting programs that make full artistic statements rather than simply presenting a collection of pieces. In his liturgical organ playing, Michael strives to communicate the spirit of the texts he accompanies through playing that is sensitive to timbre, grammar, and breath such that the congregation is empowered to both sing and understand the music. Example programs may be found on the "Past Performances" page.
